The Galleria Dallas

If you are looking for some great shopping, or just a place to escape from the warm weather, the Galleria mall is a fun place to hang out. I'm not a huge shopping fan, and I can't say that I've been to many malls in the Dallas area, but I was impressed with this place. There was a ton of interesting stores, plenty of restaurants to choose from, and they even have an indoor skating rink. Coming from the north it was nice to see that. I didn't skate but I think it was about $15 to skate for an hour and you can rent skates there. I don't usually like malls, but if I have to go to one, the Galleria will definitely be the one I choose.

Fort Worth Zoo Is Worth The Trip

If you are visiting the DFW area and are looking for something to do, I would suggest checking out the Fort Worth Zoo. I'm a big zoo lover and have been to many around the country, and this is definitely one of the best I have seen. It's clean, it has large and creative habitats for the animals that allow for easy viewing from unique vantage points, fun activities for all ages, great food choices, and it has a wide range of animals from all over the world. It also has a great section featuring Texas animals that was much more than I would have expected. It's just a great zoo and a fun way to spend the day. If you are able to go on a Wednesday the admission is half price I believe. Here is a link to their website: Fort Worth Zoo.

Maybe The Best Burger Ever

I had lunch the other day at a place called Twisted Root....phenomenal burgers. I might go so far as to say that it was the best burger I have ever had. Cool place too, I think they brew their own root beer (thus the name) and they have a few different unique flavors of it. Anyways, I won't go into detail as there are really no words to explain the deliciousness of it. They have a few locations, fortunately none too close to me or I would be putting on some pounds for sure. I highly recommend trying it though if you get the chance. My Favorites In The Dallas Area

I recently moved to the DFW area and, in all honesty, have enjoyed living in the area much more than I expected to. I have lived in a few different cities across the country and never pictured myself in Texas, but one thing led to another and here I am in the Lone Star State.
I wanted to start this blog to document particular businesses I encounter here in the Dallas area that do a great job, partly as a way to pass on the word, and partly as my own personal online rolodex  of places to go back to. I think that nowadays, when businesses go the extra mile to provide outstanding service or a great product, they should be rewarded with some good publicity. So this is my small way of helping some of these top businesses in the Dallas area who deserve to get repeat business. It could be anything from restaurants to lawn care and everything in between.
